K M Hasan Ripon, Chairs Introductory Session for SDF’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Training Project

Dhaka, Bangladesh — On December 24, 2023, Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, the Executive Director of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI), assumed the role of the chair during the introductory session of the Social Development Foundation funded training project on Hospitality and Tourism Management, known as the RELI Project. The event, held at the 71 Auditorium of Daffodil Plaza, brought together 800 participants from various districts of Bangladesh. These participants will undergo comprehensive training and receive full scholarships for employment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Mr. K M Hasan Ripon delivered a motivational speech to inspire the young participants. He emphasized the importance of harnessing their capabilities and dreams to achieve global success. He urged them to recognize the potential within themselves and emphasized that success requires a blend of smart hard work, commitment, positivity, and effective time management.

He concluded by encouraging them to think about their careers and set targets, excluding the traditional CGPA targets. He advised them to overcome hurdles in networking and to focus on laughing, understanding internal feelings, and eventually becoming visionary leaders.

This event marks a significant step toward empowering the youth of Bangladesh in the field of hospitality and tourism, aligning with the country’s vision for sustainable development.

Future Leaders in the Making: Mr. K M Hasan Ripon Steers Youth Towards Success in Skills Development Project

Dhaka, December 27, 2023 – An orientation session was held in Dhaka, led by Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, Executive Director of Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) and Managing Director of Global Entrepreneurship Network Bangladesh. The session aimed to empower 150 young individuals from various districts of Bangladesh who are set to participate in a three-month-long skills development project initiated by the Social Development Foundation of the Bangladesh Government. BSDI serves as the project’s implementation partner.

Mr. K M Hasan Ripon, a highly experienced skills development activist, engaged the participants in hands-on activities, providing invaluable insights to guide them on their journey towards realizing their dreams. The session emphasized key principles for personal and professional growth:

  1. Confidentiality Strengthens: Mr. Ripon emphasized the importance of not sharing personal weaknesses with unknown individuals or in public conversations. Keeping one’s vulnerabilities confidential is crucial for personal development and building resilience.
  2. Invest in Your Dreams: Participants were reminded that nothing in this world comes for free. Achieving one’s dreams requires an investment of smart and hard work, commitment, positivity, and effective time management. Success is proportional to the effort invested.
  3. Skills Pay Dividends: Mr. K M Hasan Ripon highlighted the significance of becoming experts in sector-specific skills. Emphasizing the correlation between expertise and financial success, he advised participants to steer clear of negativity, laziness, and comfort zones.

 

This orientation session marked the beginning of a transformative skills development initiative, where young individuals from diverse backgrounds will have the opportunity to hone their skills under the guidance of BSDI and contribute to the social development goals outlined by the Government of Bangladesh.
